Welcome to PhotoToasty.comPhotoToasty aka Chris Tostevin-Hall is a part-time professional photographer based in the British Channel Island of Guernsey. The PhotoToasty brand was born when Chris signed up to the online photo-sharing community Flickr in January 2006 and it has since then become his unique Internet identity.
Chris has been a keen photographer for over thirty years, but joining Flickr was a seminal event in rekindling his passion for photography. Inspired by the vast amount of amazing photography from other Flickr members and encouraged by others appreciating and critiquing his work, Chris' photography has developed greatly over the years.
Like so many Guernsey-based photographers, Chris started out by capturing dramatic seascapes, inspired by the likes of Nick Després and Alex Wallace. Although Chris frequently returns to his "landscape roots", he enjoys and is proficient in many photographic genres. In particular, Chris often combines his love of music and photography by photographing performing musicians and has been privileged to cover recent concerts by Katherine Jenkins and Jools Holland.
In 2010 Chris was entrusted to photograph the wedding of friend Dan Edmunds. This was particularly gratifying as Dan is himself a very talented photographer. He now inspired to further develop his wedding photography portfolio and skills. To that end he is now accepting a limited number of wedding commissions.
PhotoToasty.com is a website to showcase Chris' photography and further document his photographic journey and development. If you like what you see and have a photographic requirement that you think Chris might be able to help with, then email him by clicking on the "Contact Me" link below.
